Medical Mutual responds to Maryland Insurance Commissioner's Ruling
The Insurance Commissioner has ruled that Medical Mutual's $68.6 million proposed dividend must be given to the State.

New Chair selected for Board of Directors
MEDICAL MUTUAL Liability Insurance Society of Maryland is pleased to announce that George S. Malouf, Jr., M.D. has been selected to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors of MEDICAL MUTUAL. Dr. Malouf was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He received his B.S. in Biology from Georgetown University and his M.D. from the University of Maryland.

Dr. Malouf has been in private practice in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties since 1983. He has been active in organized medicine, having served as President of The Maryland Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and Prince George’s County Medical Society, and a member of The Council of American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Malouf was originally appointed to the MEDICAL MUTUAL Board in 1999 and has served as Vice Chair since 2005.
